Glue-laminated wood
What is glue-laminated wood?
Glue‑laminated wood is a wood product manufactured from multiple kiln‑dried and quality‑graded timber lamellas that are bonded together to form a single solid element.
Glue‑laminated wood is primarily a component and raw material intended for further processing according to customer requirements.
Unlike glue‑laminated timber beams, glue‑laminated wood is not designed for load‑bearing structures, but for use in components and products where dimensional accuracy, consistent quality and good workability are essential.
Applications:
- Furniture and interior product components
- Wood components for further machining, sawing and finishing
- Manufacturing of glued wood components and other wooden parts
- Custom and smaller cross‑section wooden solutions
- Production of doors, windows and frames
Advantages of glue-laminated wood:
- Flexible cross‑sections and dimensions according to customer requirements
- Consistent material quality, suitable for precision processing
- Excellent surface for finishing (painting, lacquering, oiling)
- Better dimensional stability compared to solid wood
- Reduced risk of cracking and warping compared to solid wood
